Refund Policy

At Mochilero Ostello, we strive to provide our guests with a comfortable and enjoyable experience. We understand that sometimes plans change, so we have outlined our refund policy below to help manage cancellations and refunds effectively.

1. Refund Eligibility

1.1 Individual Bookings
Refunds are based on the timing of your cancellation, as outlined below:

  • Cancellation more than 7 days before check-in: Full refund.
  • Cancellation between 3 to 6 days before check-in: 50% refund.
  • Cancellation less than 3 days before check-in: No refund.

1.2 Group Bookings (5 or more guests)

  • Cancellation more than 14 days before check-in: Full refund.
  • Cancellation between 7 to 13 days before check-in: 50% refund.
  • Cancellation less than 7 days before check-in: No refund.

2. Non-Refundable Bookings

2.1 Some promotional rates, discounts, or packages may be labeled as “Non-Refundable” at the time of booking. For these bookings, no refund will be provided under any circumstances.

3. Early Departure and No-Shows

3.1 Early Departure
In cases where guests check out earlier than the scheduled departure date, no refund will be provided for the unused nights.

3.2 No-Shows
If a guest does not show up on the scheduled check-in date without prior notification, the booking will be considered a no-show, and no refund will be issued.

4. Changes to Bookings

4.1 Modifications
Guests may request changes to their booking (e.g., date changes) up to 7 days prior to the check-in date, subject to availability. No fee will be charged for modifications made within this time frame. However, if changes are requested less than 7 days prior to check-in, the cancellation policy will apply.

4.2 Transfer of Bookings
Guests may transfer their booking to another person, provided that Mochilero Ostello is notified at least 3 days prior to check-in and the new guest agrees to abide by all hostel policies.

5. Refund Process

5.1 Refund Method
Refunds will be processed via the same payment method used for the original booking.

  • For payments made via credit card or debit card, please allow up to 7-10 business days for the refund to reflect in your account.
  • For payments made via digital wallets or bank transfers, refunds may take up to 5-7 business days.

5.2 Processing Fees
Any refund processing fees (such as bank charges) will be deducted from the refunded amount.

6. Force Majeure

Mochilero Ostello is not liable for cancellations or refunds caused by unforeseen events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, government-imposed travel restrictions, pandemics, or other force majeure events. In such cases, guests may be offered the option to reschedule their booking without additional charges.

Once refund is process it will be back to source within 5-7 business working days.
